Chalmers Vermentino from Merbein Vineyard, is just so, so delightful. The wine has an array of attractive characters; ripe green pear, white nectarine, Meyer lemon, yellow floral blossom and a very refreshing mineral saltiness.
The estate grown fruit was harvested and pressed into stainless steel, where a wild ferment on solids occurred. The wine was aged on fine lees for 6 months before fining, filtration and packaging.
