The fruit for Sam's shiraz was grown by Tait Hamilton on his Heathcote vineyard. Tait is a hardworking and careful grower, whose site is a gift from nature. The vineyard, with its amazing rust coloured Cambrian soils, sits on an eastern aspect, with a steep hill behind. This means the site receives warmth from the morning sun, but is later shaded from harsher afternoon rays. These factors combine to give fruit that achieves fantastic ripeness, whilst retaining high natural acidity.
A rich and indulgent shiraz, with vibrant colour, expect aromas and flavours of blackberry, black plums and cherries, chocolate, vanilla and pepper.
